To revolt is a natural tendency of life. Even a worm turns against the foot that crushes it. In general, the vitality and relative dignity of an animal can be measured by the intensity of its instinct to revolt.

Aitzaz Ahsan shortlisted for an Honorary Doctorate. But why is he so silent?

Aitzaz Ahsan has been released from the prison for a long time now. He has also filed his election canidacy papers. Now we have got the reports that he has been shortlisted for an Honorary Doctorate or LLD by Cambridge University. But the question of questions: why is he silent after his release from captivity? What do they say in the prison to such brave leaders of resistance that either their kidneys fail or they are totally silent? How sinister the people-eating machine must be? We have also confirmed reports of torture of prisoners. We have reports of people pissing in their pants because they are not allowed to visit toilets. Even CIA refers to these practices in its documents as ""locally acceptable forms of interrogation." Read a report in The Guardian on the sinister state machinery in action here.
