To revolt is a natural tendency of life. Even a worm turns against the foot that crushes it. In general, the vitality and relative dignity of an animal can be measured by the intensity of its instinct to revolt.

Lest We Forget

The Deposed Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry became famous for taking up the cases of the Disappeared People in Pakistan. Because Chaudhry had been reinstated after Musharraf suspended him once, it was impossible for Musharraf to get rid of him till 2011 if the constitution had remained intact. That is why Musharraf imposed Emergency on Pakistan. This video shows the plight of the Disappeared before the Emergency. Now while everyone is demanding a return to democracy, this issue has become marginalized. We should remember the Disappeared People of Pakistan while demanding a return to democracy. Imran Khan has started a hunger strike till death if the deposed judges of the Supreme Court are not brought back. All of this is linked with the issue of the Disappeared and Musharraf's own legal status as President with a Military Uniform, a combination prohibited by the Constitution of Pakistan in 1973. Musharraf is both Pinochet and Idi Amin in one body.
